Health Insurance

All UK employees may opt in to health insurance provided by Vitality Health, which can pay for private consultations and hospital treatment (see details of cover). You can opt in at any time. To opt in email Becky Dunbar. thoughtbot pays for the insurance, but the individual employee is liable for paying tax on it (the value of the insurance is deducted from your tax-free personal allowance). Insurance covers the employee and optionally their families.

Vitality Health also provides a number of additional perks, such as half-price gym membership and discounted cinema tickets.

thoughtbot can also reimburse employees for the cost of an annual opticians’ appointment.
